went to mow a meadow...

lots of farmers trying to run me over with mowers, flailers, balers, sprayers and other indescribable machinery in the last few days.

Still, makes a change being attacked by cows!

Oh and since its sunny again I've remembered to turn on the gps tracker so that map should get updated today.

potential title for the book I'm not writing!

Anyway, walked into another externally unassuming rural pub at 7pm last night, the Griffin at Church End. Turned out to be a multiple pub of the year winner with at least a dozen real ales on tap! So I had to sample a couple, not discovering until halfway down the glass that "Full Bore" was 8%. it made me forgot my aching feet though and after another pint I'd forgotten I even had feet attached to the bottom of my legs. They also had a 10% ale (sykes?) but it seemed superfluous on this occasion!
So spent a nice evening chatting with Paul (and thanks for the chicken!), Sheila the champion golfer and Hannah (thanks for the help putting my tent up in the beer garden!)

Also shout outs to the Quart Club posse, the bloke in Stafford who cycled a 1000 mile round trip to attend a ukelele festival in France, and the nice chap I met cycling along the canal from Manchester who had the same tent as me. I need to start getting names!

I should get a shirt printed that says the following:
NO I am NOT doing it for charity!
NO I am NOT writing a book!
YES I am walking on my own. Oooooh!
Four to Five months!
Oh you wish you could do it too but you can't because ? What a pity.
No I would not like a cup of tea but thank you for the offer, that's very kind. Yes that's right, I don't drink tea. OMG GET OVER IT!

okay, enough sarcasm but the first and often entire five minutes of conversation are getting a bit predictable.

just had a two day holiday in Stratford upon Avon. On Sunday I watched the wimbledon final and napped a lot, and yesterday visited Warwick castle and then watched Titus Andronicus at the RSC.
Today back on the trail, mainly canal towpath amid a flurry of romancing butterflies and dragonflies.
